Maki-e (literally“sprinkled pictures”) is are presentative lacquer ware technique that originated in Japan around 1,200 years ago.
Maki-e is done by painting lacquer motifs on the surface of a piece using a fine brush and then sprinkling powder onto the lacquer before it hardens, producing luxurious decorations.
This Class you will experience Traditional Japanese art from Makie artist from Izu, Japan. Students can take home their creation and Materials are all included. If you are love arts and definitely you should try it on this opportunity.
